PEN handled 2,465 departing flights in July 2025, nearly flat year over year with a slight −0.08% change. The airport continues to serve as a key hub for northern Malaysia.

On‑time performance was 71.89%, down 1.15 points from last year. Cancelled flights dropped sharply to only 18, an 86.36% reduction, showing much stronger reliability.
